First two rows for Krenek´s drivers


 It was a perfect qualifying session for local hero Mato Homola who took overall pole ahead of tomorrow’s Race1. 

The young Slovak posted a time of 2:13.436 in the initial stages of the session with his Homola Motorsport BMW 320 TC, beating two other TC2T cars (both Chevrolet Cruze 1.6T by Campos Racing), although by a narrow margin of three hundredths of a second in the case of Nikolay Karamyshev, as the Russian signed a time of 2:13.470 while Igor Skuz stopped the watch at 2:14.557.

The TC2T trio was followed by seven TC2 cars, with Norbert Kiss (Team Unicorse Alfa Romeo 156) stealing class pole from Petr Fulín (Krenek Motorsport BMW 320si) by mid-session, with a margin of half-second. Third throughout most of the session was the other Krenek’s car of Michal Matějovský.

In the Single-Make Trophy, the fastest SEAT León was the one of ADAC Team Nordbayern with Andreas Pfister at the wheel, who posted a time of 2:17.742 and beat by one tenth SMP Racing Russian Bears driver Dmitry Bragin and by three tenths the Finn Aku Pellinen (Team Niinivirta).

In the Super 1600, Ulrike Krafft was again on top of the rankings. The German girl’s Ford Fiesta 1.6 beat the similar car of Gilles Bruckner (Team LuxMotor) by over 1.5 seconds, with another Ravenol Team Ford Fiesta 1.6, entrusted to Patrick Wolf in third.
