Czech Republic racers Petr Fulín and Michal Matĕjovský had double reason to celebrate when the curtain came down on the FIA European Touring Car Cup season at Autodromo Pergusa in Sicily.

Fulín scored a victory brace in the Single Make Trophy, while Matĕjovský (pictured) became provisional TC2 champion by finishing second to Peter Rikli in the opening 11-lap counter. And it was their combined performance in race one that ensured Czech Republic won the final ETCC Nations’ Cup to be awarded this season.

Like Czech Republic, Germany also scored 72 points in Sicily but missed out on the event award after bagging four points less in the decisive opening race of the day. However, Germany had the last laugh by securing the overall title ahead of Czech Republic, Switzerland and Turkey, with Georgia fifth and Serbia sixth.
