Křenek Motorsport wraps up the season with Slovakia test

After completing a successful test with Petr Fulín and his BMW at Slovakia Ring, Prague's Křenek Motorsport team conducted another outing near Bratislava, this time with Formula Renault 2.0. It was Gabriela Jílková who sat down in the cockpits of both blue-and-white machines alternately.

While the BMW test was focused on different damper suppliers' evaluation for the next FIA ETCC season, this time a gearbox test was on the agenda.

Both tests had positive outcomes, which was among all else confirmed by both drivers setting their new personal best times on the demanding track.

Josef Křenek, team principal: "It has been a long time since I last experienced such a trouble-free and successful test. Both the machinery and the drivers worked to their best. I think we will go to Slovakia Ring more often. The positive results already allow us to begin our preparations for next year as there is not much time left. Next we're going to test on 27 and 28 February in Monza.

"This was the last test of the season and I would also like to thank all our drivers, the team, our partners, journalists and also parents because without their support racing of our young drivers wouldn't be possible."

Petr Fulín, tested the BMW 320si: "We are fully content with the results of our Slovakian test. It's only November, but the new season is approaching quickly and the whole team are doing their best to be well prepared for it."

Gabriela Jílková, tested the FR 2.0: "Though the track temperatures were very low, I managed to set a 2m00.021s lap. I enjoyed the whole test. I hadn't even been expecting to get another chance to have a go this season. We came to Slovakia Ring mainly to evaluate the gearbox as we'd had problems with it during the last two events. We replaced it completely after them. I'm happy to say the test was successful for both the new components and me."
