Swiss driver Schreiber is stepping up to ETCC action with the front-running Křenek Motorsport squad in 2016. He will pilot a SEAT León Cup Racer and will look to capitalise on the knowledge of his hugely successful and experienced team-mate Petr Fulín, who will head the Křenek attack.

“I am really happy to defend the interests of such a professional and motivated team – their ambition is the same as mine,” said Schreiber. “In the first year, I don’t expect too much and want to learn as much as I can against a top level of competition, a new car and a lot of international tracks. For sure it will be exciting.”

The 2016 ETCC includes visits to Circuit Paul Ricard, Slovakia Ring, the Nürburgring Nordschleife, Vila Real, Magny-Cours and Imola. Cars conforming to the FIA’s new TCN2 regulations will challenge for ETCC success for the first time as part of a revamped two-tier championship structure.
