Second race of the season is the home race at Slovakia Ring

After the initial success on the French Paul Ricard Circuit, FIA ETCC continues at our eastern neighbors on Slovakia Ring.

Given the fact that this calendar is missing an ETCC race weekend in Brno, the slovakian weekend represents prague team Krenek Motorsport's home race, where team and drivers will be supported by a lot of friends and partners.

For the team and Petr Fulin it will be the fifth stop of the ETCC on this beautiful, modern circuit: "Slovakia Ring is always a great challenge. I like this circuit very much and every year I am looking forward to it. I think we will have a busy weekend in which I would like to continue with the good results of the first weekend in France. On the other hand, I also fear that every winning streak like mine on this circuit will end on day“, says Petr Fulin, who have won all four previous races.

More to the upcoming weekend, says team boss, Mr. Josef Krenek: "From Le Castellet, we went straight to the Slovakia Ring and so our new cars where still not yet at our workshop. All the preparation, as well as repairing of the accidents in France, must be carried out on the spot and will again need some improvisation."

"The results of the first races are promising, but we can‘t rest and have to continue to work hard. Honda is very strong what we have seen at Paul Ricard and their success in Le Castellet and Petr Fulin’s car will receive an extra 42 Kg of weight. Slovakia Ring is our home race and the circuit is very well-known. The races here are always very exciting and certainly we will do our best for and impressive result. The season is still long but, every point will count. Under the circumstances, therefore, will be the main priority above all races to finish," says Josef Krenek.

And what says Christjohannes Schreiber: "I am really looking forward to the Slovakia Ring weekend. Now after the first contact with the new car, the new team and the whole championship I can start working more relaxed and focus even more on my job in the car.

I have raced here before and it became one of my favourite circuits. It’s a very demanding track that will challenge every team and every driver to the limit.

I am convinced that the team will do again an outstanding job and help me in the best way possible like they did two weeks ago in France."
