F4 CEZ season continues at Autodrom Most with two local rookies

The fourth round of the F4 CEZ Championship certified by the FIA is set to kick off this coming weekend at Autodrom Most. Two local rookies, Max Karhan and Jan Rieger, will be taking part in the race event at the Czech circuit.

Reno Francot, leading the championship, has finished all six races on the podium, including two wins. He is a member of the Jenzer Motorsport team, which usually fields three formula 4 cars. However, at Most, four open-wheelers in the Swiss team’s colours will be on the track. Reno Francot, double winner from Hungaroring Ethan Ischer and Mathias Bjerre Jakobsen will be joined by their new team-mate, kart racer Max Karhan.

Karhan was initially supposed to race for the JMT Racing team. Still, due to the problematic and late delivery of the formula 4 single seaters, he made a deal with Jenzer Motorsport for his debut in formula race.

JMT Racing eventually received their new F4, but it was quite late and untested formula will be driven by Carbonia Cup driver Jan Rieger. This will be his first time behind the wheel of an F4, and the goal is simple: collect data and bring the car home at a solid place.

Miroslav Mikeš from the SAPE Motorsport team will be the fourth Czech driver in the field. Mikeš debuted at Red Bull Ring and is still gaining valuable experience. Hungarian driver Oliver Michl from the Gender Motorsport team has an extra race compared to the Mikeš and currently holds the fourth place in the drivers´ standings.

Michael Sauter from the Sauter Engineering team is always a tough opponent for Jenzer Motorsport drivers. He came close to winning at the Slovakia Ring but had to settle for second place on both occasions. Will Most finally be the place where he achieves the winning trophy? We will see on Saturday or Sunday.
