About team

Křenek Motorsport has been active in the Czech and international motorsport since 1996. The team has been set up by Ing. Jose Křenek, who studied at the technical university in Rüsselsheim, Germany. Since ending his active racing career, he has been focused on managerial and organisational parts of motorsport.

His racing team is known especially for circuit racing, but it also participated in rally (1999 WRC event at San Remo, Italy and British Network Q Rally) and hillclimbing. After a successful 2005 season, when the Křenek Motorsport won all its racing categories (circuits, hillclimbing and other competitions), the team joined an international Formula Renault series. Two years later, the team celebrated the LO FR-2.0 2017 championship with Adam Kout, which elevated the project into the World Series by Renault. All the Křenek Motorsport’s drivers have managed to win 17 titles in total in various touring cars and formula cars championships so far.

The team is predominantly focused on raising young talented drivers. In 2009, the Křenek Motorsport team has become a factory team for the Italian manufacturer Gloria Cars. And together with HP Media they have introduced a Formulastar (now RaceStar) competition. Many drivers have come through this talent competition like Jan Skála, Gabriela Jílková, Lukáš Hanžl, Boštjan Avbelj and Petr Semerád. In 2012 season, the team entered the FIA ETCC championship with BMW E90 cars and together with Petr Fulín and Michal Matějovský they have won three championships from 2013 to 2015. From 2014, the team has started its cooperation with SEAT in the Czech Republic which resulted in another FIA ETCC championship title in 2017. In 2018, the team helped to run Audi RS3 LMS TCR for Václav Nimč jr.

Apart from racing, the team is also organising events and selling racing equipment and clothing. Křenek Motorsport is the official Czech distributor for brands like Alpinestars, ISA-Racing, Sachs, Sparco, Elf, Schroth, HJS, and Öhlins.

In 2000 season, the Křenek Motorsport team has become a promoter for the national single-seaters series Národní Formule and even raced there with its own car called FiKS. Drivers like Adam Kout and Josef Král have started their racing careers behind the wheel of these cars. In 2011-2013, the Křenek Motorsport worked together with Renault Sport to run a Renault Clio Cup Bohemia series. In 2013, the Křenek Motorsport and Racing Trevor teams set up the ESET V4 Cup and with the help from Race-Eventmanagement also the ESET Tourenwagen Cup category.
